Youth Ministry Sunday Night Gatherings Include these Activities ~ 2007

  • Opening Fun and Fellowship - Fun and fellowship provide the opportunity to learn friendship skills and develop a relationship with one another.  Youth will build strong relationships with God based on having a strong relationship with Christian friends.  They will develop a balance of give and take.  They will learn to be honest with one another.  They will learn to welcome one another and guests with open arms.

  • A Place at the Table - Hospitality is the beginning of many Christian traditions.  By sharing generously with one another the day or week’s happenings while breaking bread together youth will celebrate each other and God’s love.  They will build Christian relationships and experience being part of the family of God.  Adult guests are always welcome.
  • Worship Skills - By learning the worship skills of music, drama, liturgical dance and scripture reading, the young people will develop an appreciation of worship. They will recognize their gifts and use them to glorify God by participating in a worship service once a month.

    • Liturgical Dance Option
Sr. High and Middle School youth. This small group meets to express their faith thru liturgical dance.
      Sunday 5:30 pm-6 pm

  • Telling the Story - Youth fellowship will create a challenge for our youth to know and tell the Story.  The young people will be encouraged to read and know the scriptures so that the Story springs to life in their hearts.  They will be nurtured to go forward in their walks of faith.

  • You, Me and JC (Middle School 8th) AND JAM (6th & 7th)– meets each Sunday, and the first Friday of each month for an overnight event.  Its purpose is to attract youth to a safe sanctuary, provide youth with caring mentors, enable youth to hear each other’s story, empower them to tell their own story, to be affirmed and to hear, understand and tell the story of God’s love through Jesus Christ.
